Group Mentoring/Facilitation

A company will often bring in an outside mentor/facilitator to ensure a productive group process. The role of the facilitator is to support everyone to do their best thinking. To do this, the facilitator encourages full participation, promotes mutual understanding and cultivates shared responsibility. By supporting everyone to do their best thinking, a facilitator enables group members to search for inclusive solutions and build sustainable agreements.

As mentors/facilitators, we have no vested interest in any outcome, and thus can bring objectivity into potentially sensitive meetings whilst keeping participants on track with the key issues. We ensure that the group reaches its goals in the time allotted whilst maximising the use of the wisdom within the group.

Our role can range from facilitating a single meeting, an away-day, or an open workshop to providing guidance through an extended process. We can help with:

  • Devising strategies
  • Improving performance and quality
  • Planning projects
  • Agreeing priorities and action plans
  • Building teams
  • Developing effective working relationships
  • Solving problems
  • Resolving differences.
